1 What do I need for an online class?
- A reliable internet connection.
- A desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone.
- A web camera on or attached to the device you are using.
- An integrated microphone on your device or an attached headset.
- Before starting the course we´ll send you all information about live lessons via Zoom and how to register to our online platform.
2 Which level am I?
There are several ways to find out what your level is. Firstly, you can take the online level assessment at our website. This will help you to determine the best type of course for you. The idea is to work through the questions as far as you can and then submit. Your results will give you an indication of your level (beginners/post beginners/pre-intermediate etc).
Once the teachers check your level assessment, we'll get back to you with specific information about suitable courses for you. Please note, depending on your results we'll need to have a speaking test before sending all information.
3 If I start a course and realise the level is not right, can I change it?
If by any chance after starting your course you find the level too easy or challenging, you'll be changed onto a more suitable course if available. You must let us know after the first lesson, you cannot be transferred to a different group after the second lesson.
4 Can I join a class in the second week?
If there are spaces available on the course we can take bookings for students wishing to join the class after the course starts, however there will be no discount on the price. The other option is enrolling for half term.
5 How many students are there in a class?
The online classes will have a maximum of 8 students while for in-person classes the maximum is 12 students.
6 Do I need to buy a course book?
Yes, you will need to buy a text book. Additional materials are provided.
7 What is Google classroom and when do I get access to it?
Google classroom is an online learning platform where teachers upload all contents and activities seen in each class as well as homework or extra resources. You'll be sent your login details before the first class.
8 What happens if I need to miss a class?
From time to time, students are not able to attend a class due to other commitments, but don't worry if we have another class at the same level you'll be able to attend to it. If not you can always catch up in your own time with the notes uploaded on Google Classroom.
9 Is there any discount?
There will be no discount for classes you would be unable to attend.
10 Can I attend to half course?
This will still be available but the attendance period should be in the first half of the course (from class 1 till 4) or the second one (class 5 till 8). The fee for half term is £70 for morning and afternoon classes and £75 for evening classes.
