About Us

Strada22 is an Italian school born in Edinburgh from a collaboration between El Patio and me, Claudia: the only Italian in a Spanish family. I’m Italian, from Siracusa, Sicily, and since 2012 I have lived in Edinburgh.
 

I have a master’s degree in International Relations and a huge passion for languages: I speak French, Spanish and English. I have lived and studied in different countries: I came to Edinburgh for a three-month English course but here I am after many years, still loving this beautiful city and its people. 

 

I love travelling and living abroad, but I also like taking with me a part of my beautiful Italy, its language, culture, and traditions, and sharing them with the people I meet. So in 2017  I decided to turn my passion into a career, and I trained to become a qualified Italian teacher. I got my Dilit-International House diploma in Rome and since 2018 I’ve been happily teaching Italian as a foreign language. I’ve worked for different language schools in Edinburgh and now, with the support of my Spanish family from El Patio, I’ve decided to start my journey with Strada22.
